In the House of the Rising Sun
Wednesday, July 5th, 2006The House of the Rising Sun was the common term for my fathers house when I was in high school. Why? I really have no idea. But, for the 4 glorious years that I call my high school career, that’s what my father’s place of residence has been called. Well, this weekend, The House of the Rising Sun came to Winona Lake, on what I like to call the Independance Day Tour 2006.
I’ve never been one to be called a ‘boatsman’ or even really boat for that matter. My father never owned a boat while I was growing up, and I don’t remember anyone that I knew owning a boat. This weekend, my life has changed, since I have been introduced to the boating lifestyle. My father recently purchased a 25 foot Bennington 2575RL.*
I never thought that tubing would be as much fun as it is. But, once Austin convinced me to get on the ’supermable,’ I was spent. I am now proud to say that I am a man that enjoys riding on an innertube tied to a boat.
After father left, my lifestyle seemed empty, and I still had 2 days off. Monday I worked on freelance work, and that is ridiculous. Today we went to Fort Wayne, and I spent my 5-month-anniversary with the girl and a few good buddies and good friends.
I’m real excited that Sarah and I are at 5 months. I know it might not seem very long, but to Sarah and I it seems that it has been longer since we have started dating. I have never been crazier about a girl. Sigh. I hope that’s a good thing.
Well, it is 3:24 now, and I am contemplating on weather to stretch this out until work at ten or crash for a few short hours of sleep. I guess we’ll see.
Much love.
